Non-emergency medical transportation is usually provided to individuals who need to get to their appointments with the added support of vehicles that are conducive to their needs. Destinations for NEMT vary depending on the individual but usually include planned health check-ups, a trip to the pharmacy, and even family events and other destinations. This form of transportation gives clients more independence as it enables them to get around better without having to deal with cramped car seats and other logistical issues they may usually experience in conventional vehicles.
